Image: Seabourn Seabourn says it is gearing up for its biggest Australian summer with two of the world’s what Seabourn describes as the newest and arguably most luxurious ships, Seabourn Odyssey and Seabourn Sojourn, each carrying only 450 guests, offering what Seabourn claims is the highest space per guest ratio in the cruise industry, making unprecedented numbers of visits to local ports.Seabourn Odyssey will return for her third Australian summer on December 12, spending three months cruising between Australia and New Zealand before departing for Asia in early March, with the 32,000 tonne vessel making an unprecedented 22 calls at 11 Australian ports, right through from Darwin and Cairns in the north to Geelong and Burnie in the south, during what Seabourn says is her longest and busiest Australian season.Meanwhile, sister ship Seabourn Sojourn will also make her second visit to Australia, calls at 11 ports as she cruises from Sydney to the west coast, including maiden visits to Eden, Burnie, Geelong, Kangaroo Island, Bunbury, Geraldton and Exmouth.Seabourn’s 2014 local cruise options include a range of 16 and 18 night voyages between Auckland and Sydney in December, January and February, including a 16 day cruise on Seabourn Odyssey from Auckland to Sydney departing on January 10, 2014, with visits to Burnie, Melbourne, Geelong, Tauranga, Wellington, Picton, Akaroa, Dunedin, Oban – Halfmoon Bay and scenic cruising in Queen Charlotte Sound and Fiordland National Park.Source = e-Travel Blackboard: JAJlast_img
